Réorganization of MDB's halls at Sclessin

In 2012 and 2013, we assisted MDB in Sclessin who had commissioned Optim Engineering (previously Boyens Michel sprl) for the following tasks:

Prepare a project plan for the reorganisation of existing workshops.

This task included, among other things:

a complete CAD survey of the building and its contents
(4500 m² divided into 5 halls),
the analysis of potential intra and extra murals of the company.
(A transfer budget, a reconstruction phase or an
internal reorganisation),
proposal for execution planning,
advice on the organisation of the work,
study of necessary resources (equipment and personnel
to put in place)...

Analysis and optimisation of inventory.

We have, with an effective method:

eliminated obsolete inventory,
regrouped the products from the same family,
streamlined the shelving and mode of storage,
improved the product identification...

Reorganisation of the production zone.

Without altering the production planning, we have rearranged the 14 production lines and the maintenance in 2 of the 5 halls to improve the production flow. This optimisation allows a better material flow and improved safety for the production teams.

Completion of the project.

Study of relamping with LEDs,
new base for raw materials,
markings of different areas,
building and machinery cleaning,
arranging of offices...

Results
